Busman’s Holiday and House Swap – a story
While I was serving at Woodhill in 1996 and living in a village called Steeple Claydon in Bucks I had the idea of planning to have a cheap holiday and trying out a house swap with the USA. The way that these schemes work is that you join a club and after paying a fee you then received a book with contacts ......

In my service career I worked at HM Prison Holloway on two occasions and these are my recollections of those times.
In the mid-eighties I was serving as a Trades Officer (when we had those) at Channings Wood in Devon on the only successful direct labour project ........
Beekeeping
While I was an operational Governor Grade based at Woodhill Prison I approached my Governor at that time, Ed Willetts, with an idea that I had thought about for a while. In my spare time I attended an evening course to learn how to keep bees and I eventually set up a colony of bees and even managed to produce some honey in my first year.Holloway Re-visited.
